The Gift of Present Moment

The ability to be in the present moment is a major component of mental wellness.” - Abraham Maslow

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.

Exercise present moment awareness. At night before sleeping, read out all your desires and let go of them with unwavering faith that the power you believe in will MAKE IT SO. You'll seldom experience regret for anything that you've done. It is what you haven't done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it. Value your present moments. Using them up in any self-defeating ways means you've lost them forever.

Good vs Bad: Are you Self-Secure or Need Validation?

Illusions

This is a guest post by Ashwani Srivastava. He writes the Blog “World of Illusions” and tweets as @iAshh

One of the great Indian epics is called “Ramayana” which depicts the duties of relationships, portraying ideal characters. The characters are all fundamental to the consciousness of the world. “Ram” is the good god and “Ravan” is the bad one.

As the epic goes, the golden city of Lanka was built by Ravan’s half-brother and treasurer of god’s wealth keeper who he drove out from Lanka by force, and took over the kingdom of Lanka. He went around the world killing sages and raping women. Why? To establish his dominion – to generate fear. In other words to establish his monopoly. He tried to monopolize outer things as he is insecure from inside. He needed constant validation from the outer world, so do most of the people nowadays.

TappingThe Source

Book Review

It was last year when I got my hands on Tapping the Source and I realized it would be an manual to get in touch with myself in 2 minutes.  "Tapping the Source" starts with how authors serendipitously collaborate on the wisdom of the Master Key System introduced by Charles Haanel. In the past I have also done Master Key System Summary which you also can read on this website.

Haanel’s viewpoint is how being one with the Universal Mind (Creative Spirit, Infinite Creator, or Divine) can influence the people and events around us into making our aspirations come true. "Tapping the Source" stands out from other self-help books because of the Focus Phrases. A precise Road-Map of seven focus phrases which with training can help us get in touch with ourselves in seconds.

Make Your Life Happen

"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is way great spiritual giants are produced." - Swami Vivekanand

We all are blessed with insights and innovation. We all are influenced by entertainment and pop-culture. We all have our moments of unconventional thinking. Then why only a few of us consider ourselves capable of making things happen?
