One Floor at a Time

Look at any tall building and you are looking at a long series of ordinary days. Someone laid a foundation and someone set the first beam. Nobody built it all at once.

Your own goals work the same way. The big picture can feel far away, and that distance can make you want to quit before you have started.

So stop looking at the top. Look at the floor in front of you.

What is the next piece that can be built today? Not the whole plan. Just one piece, done well, with care.

Progress is rarely loud. It looks like showing up, doing the part you can reach, and trusting that the pieces will add up.

Be patient with the parts that do not show yet. The foundation is the most important floor, and nobody ever sees it.

Years from now, the finished thing will look like it was always meant to be there. Only you will remember the slow days that made it stand.

Build one floor today.
