The Quiet Power of Small Disciplines

We overestimate what we can do in a day and underestimate what we can do in a year. Success is rarely one grand decision. It is a hundred small ones, made quietly when nobody is watching. Read ten pages. Make the call. Save a little. Take the walk. Each one looks like nothing in the moment. But small actions, repeated daily, compound into results that look like luck to everyone else. I have seen this in my own life. The things that changed me were never dramatic. They were boring. A little progress every day, stacked over months and years, until one day people asked how it happened so fast. It did not happen fast. It happened daily. Do not ask yourself if you can do something great today. Ask if you can do something small today, and again tomorrow. Greatness is just smallness that refused to quit.
