Conviction

conviction
“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never – in nothing, great or small, large or petty – never give in, except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”
– Winston Churchill

A 'No' uttered from the deepest conviction is better than a 'Yes' merely uttered to please, or worse, to avoid trouble. A leader has the vision and conviction that a dream can be achieved. He inspires the power and energy to get it done. A man of conviction is often more to be desired than a man of experience. Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has. He who believes is strong; he who doubts is weak. Strong convictions precede great actions. Every man, wherever he goes, is encompassed by a cloud of comforting convictions which move with him like flies on a summer day. Conviction brings a silent, indefinable beauty into faces. Follow your honest convictions and be strong.
